About the Journal

Rig Tshoel – Research Journal of the Royal Thimphu College is an openaccess, peerreviewed journal that reflects a core mission of the Royal Thimphu College: “To be a crucible of new ideas and knowledge that serves to enrich people’s lives and enhance the welfare of society.” Established in 2018, the journal embraces a multidisciplinary approach that welcomes diverse scholarly perspectives. Rig-Tshoel aims to generate meaningful debates in academia and practice that can inform policies in Bhutan and beyond through current, relevant and stimulating arguments.

We value inclusivity and are committed to fostering a vibrant research culture. Rig Tshoel particularly supports earlycareer scholars by providing a constructive and enabling platform that serves as a meaningful stepping stone in their academic and professional growth.

The journal follows a justintime publication model and welcomes submissions throughout the year. We invite contributions across social sciences (Anthropology, Business, Economics, Environment) and humanities  from both within and beyond the RTC community. Accepted manuscripts are published promptly upon completion of the peerreview and editorial processes, ensuring timely dissemination of new knowledge and ideas.
